|REDWINGS MEMORIAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS|
|POINT PANIC, O`AHU||JUNE 4-5, 2005||FLIES-INCINERATORS AT MAMALA BAY, O`AHU|
Below are the finals results of all divisions of the REDWINGS Memorial World Championships of Handboarding and of the Royal Richard Memorial World Championships of Paepo Boarding held at Point Panic and Flies-Incinerators on June 4-5, 2005. Wave faces in the 4 to 8 foot range with good shape provided plenty of opportunities for some of the worlds most skilled bodysurfers to show off.
Kai Santos dominated both his Senior Men's Division and the Professional Open Divisions... and went on win with the Grand Championship Division by scoring a perfect "10" with a crowd thrilling ride on what was probably the best, and one of the biggest, waves of the day.
Previous Women's Open Division champ, Malissa K. Tongg Kaawa, and big wave rider Kellygirl Hicks Craven showed their graceful athleticism and endurance by not only placing 1st and 2nd in their own division but by taking 3rd and 2nd, respectively in the Grand Championships Division. . . beating 7 of the men's divisions top finishers... including such celebrated watermen as Alec "Ace Cool" Cooke and Larry Russo. Brother Jarrett Liu won the paepo division despite classic knee rides by 2nd place winner Claude Higa's on Incinerator's inside.
